Raymond Library strives to meet the special information needs of
students and staff at the Grandview Campus. Access to most
library databases and
the
online
public library catalog is available via
the Internet. In addition, Grandview students and staff are
encouraged to contact the faculty

for information about various services which support the instructional
and research needs of the Grandview Campus.

public library catalog can be used from
any computer in the Grandview Library/Writing Center, as well as from your home,
office or classroom. Materials can be requested through:

WAYFINDER
is a single search for locating
almost 18 million items held by over 250 Washington libraries of
all types. Searches can be limited by region within the state,
or by type of library. Individual items are linked to local
library online catalogs for verifying availability and local
information. (It is also possible to search worldwide
library collections Select that option from the drop-down
list.) YVCC students and employees may request items
located on
Wayfinder
via the YVCC Interlibrary Loan process
described on the
Interlibrary loan (ILL)
page.

checking out books: |
Any YVCC student or staff member may check out books
in person. We require either a valid YVCC student/staff ID or photo identification and
YVCC ID number. Books requested by Fax, mail or via the web
are delivered to the Grandview campus for pick-up. Books may
be returned to the Grandview Campus for delivery to the library on
or before the due date to avoid late material (fines/fees) charges.

We provide on-line access to a variety of
databases. Many of these databases will
search for and retrieve full text articles from magazines, journals, newspapers, and other on-line resources. Many of these databases
can be accessed from a home or office as well as the Grandview
Library/Writing Center.
Access to databases is available to all currently registered YVCC students and
currently employed staff.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN: |
Interlibrary loan (ILL)
is available for all currently registered YVCC students and
currently employed staff. For additional information
about ILL open the Interlibrary loans link. ILL's are
delivered to the Grandview campus for pick-up. ILL.s will not
be mailed to individuals because of restrictions placed on us by
most lending institutions.

REFERENCE QUESTIONS: |
Reference questions may be asked either by phone (509 574-4991, ext. 2) or
email. Short factual answers are
quickly and easily provided via email or the
telephone, however for more complex questions you may asked to come to
the
library. In addition, you may use
ASKUS
for 24-7 reference assistance.

librarian for more information on services we can provide you. In
addition, Grandview faculty may borrow material from the Media
